Gifts, Nickels and CBD

We are so touched by all of your generosity and gifts. Each has brightened my spirits due to the thoughtful gesture behind each. But, please save your money. I promise you that when we know what we are up against, Brad and I will be participating in race for cures and other fundraising events which we will be tapping you to support. 

Speaking of fundraising: Another great moment from my initial meeting with Dr. Friedman - in the cognitive testing part, he asked me how many nickels were in $1.35. Apparently, his standard question. (One of the nurses later told me that a patient’s family all got “27” buttons to wear after she botched it) he caught me off guard and I kind of thought he was joking. My poor financially-minded husband was desperately willing me the answer. Dr. Friedman said, “C’mon, fundraiser. “I said, “Dr. Friedman, I raise major gifts - I don’t deal in nickels.” 🤣 Don’t worry, Mom and Dad – you didn’t fail me. I can make change…

CBD& Cannabis

Walking home last night, we asked the question…“ARE WE SQUARE?” Since this has happened, our friends are coming out of the woodwork with CBD and cannabis recommendations. Not that we’ve been against it but never really something we pursued. We now own drinks and gummies and have offers of more options.
